Means you have an invalid url in the base repo config section.

This can be found in /etc/yum.repos.d/

Just grep for extras in this directory for the correct config section/file.
Code:
grep extras /etc/yum.repos.d/*

i was applying this command
yum install make*.*

as a result i got this:

Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...ta/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Date: Mon, 10 May 2010 10:51:06 GMT
Server: Apache

Connection: close
Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

Trying other mirror.

I followed that URL. It doesnt exist.
But i did find repomd.xl in

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...ata/repomd.xml

I can only see what is wrong if you paste the relevant .repo file like i asked in earlier post..
