Error building LIVE.COM pack for Mplayer

Hello everyone
I want to install LIVE.COM pack for Mplayer, I follow the instructions of the site,unpack,genMake, when I make, the box complains that:
[root@localhost live]# make
cd liveMedia ; make
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/zyx/live-latest.tar_FILES/live/liveMedia'
c++ -c -Iinclude -I../UsageEnvironment/include -I../groupsock/include -I. -O2 -DSOCKLEN_T=socklen_t -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE=1 -Wall -DBSD=1 Media.cpp
make[1]: c++: Command not found
make[1]: *** [Media.o] Error 127
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/zyx/live-latest.tar_FILES/live/liveMedia'
make: *** [liveMedia/libliveMedia.a] Error 2

I don't quite understand the information, I have the gcc-4.0.1,the newest version, but it can't recognize c++ command. Please help me!
Thanks a lot

Aladin
