Please do not add anything to your .bashrc

i got some errors:
The important information is missing : The commands you did to get the error.

Quote:
cd ns-allinone-2.xx/ns-2.xx/ && sudo make install
For NIST :
cd ns-2.29/
su
# make install && exit
cp ns ns-nist
su
# cp ns-nist /usr/local/bin/ && exit
.... If you experience any 'permission denied', it's because you did some other commands with su or sudo.
You can do 'make install' and "copy to /usr/local/bin/" as root / with sudo (if you have sudo in CentOS).
Hence exit, to be sure no other commands are done as root.
" # " means the root prompt. No other ns2 commands are allowed as root. Ever.

»» but i can't paste in .. «« :
You can "copy/paste" in /home/[your user name]/**, not to /**, /usr/.

"http://www.nsnam.com/2012/06/install...untu-1204.html" is not a link.
How to copy a link address : Right click, and select ``Copy Link Location´´.

Re #21.

Errors cannot be used for anything without the command causing the error !

My test :
Code:
ns229-nist-pmip6-el6 wlan-umts_edit-21Apr017.tcl
Error: create-Umtsnode called, but no UmtsNodeType_; exiting
You must use a renamed ns which is with "nist-mob + pmip6":
ns-nist or any naming by your choice.

Your errors are the exact output you get from an 'ns' with nothing added.
I.e. the 'ns' from a stock ns-2.35 causes the same errors with your file.

Re #25.

When your file works, please attach to a new post : wlan-umts-v3.tcl.txt .
If you can't attach a text-file.txt here, please "export" wlan-umts-v3.tcl to Google drive and supply a link.

If you create a file.nam, you can run it from it´s location.
The same with the file throughput.out from pmip.tcl : $ xgraph throughput.out -bg white &

If you by export mean "How to create output files for nam and Xgraph" :
1) If the protocol is supported by nam, add the required "nam lines" to the file.tcl .
... One example creates a nam output : wifi_wimax.tcl → → nam-out.nam.

2) Creating Output Files for Xgraph http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/tutorial/nsscript4.html
. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7S...ew?usp=sharing
→ xgraph_ns2-files-tcl_07.2016.tar.gz

If you mean "export" a screenshot : $ import screen$RANDOM.jpg
... a crosshair will appear, to select the image slice. ImageMagick is required.

No! because my subject is Handoff in ns2 (Handoff between Wlan and UMTS networks) simulation. I mean, i want to show animation which showed in nam file: that means: the handoff between two network access points or Base Stations as this link:http://http://naveenshanmugam.blogsp...-wlan-and.html and the graph outputs!
This is the simulation result of Handoff in ns2 (Handoff between Wlan and UMTS networks)! Can you help me!
i'm so thank you!
Attached Files
File Type: txt handoff between wlan and umts netwoks.txt (24.3 KB, 6 views)

Re #27.

No spaces in Linux file names, please.
$ diff -dbBwaur wlan-umts_edit-21Apr017.tcl handoff\ between\ wlan\ and\ umts\ netwoks.txt
... No changes to my edits in wlan-umts_edit-21Apr017.tcl .
Exactly the same content as "handoff between wlan and umts netwoks.txt"
( New name, suggest "handoff_between-wlan-and-umts-netwoks.tcl" ).

1) Must edited until it works OK.
2) If you want nam, the usual nam lines must be added.
3) Xgraph files : When you have learned creating files for Xgraph: See #26.
.... Start with the NIST example with an xgraph file, pmip.tcl, and see how it's done.
And please read this carefully http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/tutorial/nsscript4.html
and run example4.tcl with an un-patched executable: $ ns-orig example4.tcl
3a) Read and run (with ns-orig) the default examples in xgraph_ns2-files-tcl_07.2016/.

Ref. your new thread http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ng-4175604749/

I suggest you read 'umts__ridzi.tcl' (And may be also the other examples)

Quote from umts__ridzi.tcl
Quote:
# configure UMTS.

# Note: The UMTS configuration MUST be done first otherwise it does not work
# furthermore, the node creation in UMTS MUST be as follow
# rnc, base station, and UE (User Equipment)

$ns set hsdschEnabled_ 1addr
$ns set hsdsch_rlc_set_ 0
$ns set hsdsch_rlc_nif_ 0
