error

i am gettting the following error when i use the find / -name .gnome command
what does it mean?

[root@localhost ~]# find / -name .gnome
find: WARNING: Hard link count is wrong for /proc/1: this may be a bug in your filesystem driver. Automatically turning on find's -noleaf option. Earlier results may have failed to include directories that should have been searched.
find: /root/.gvfs: Transport endpoint is not connected

Don't have find traverse the /proc file system. Prune it:

find / -wholename '/proc' -prune -o -name .gnome -print

Here is a good find guide:

I see two error messages, here. One related to the /proc filesystem (use the good workaround suggested by Mr. C.) and one related to the gnome virtual filesystem manager:
Code:
/root/.gvfs: Transport endpoint is not connected
I experienced the same problem with $HOME/.gvfs on Fedora, but it was a bug and the system updates resolved this issue.
