ERoaster question
i've download a copy eroaster-2.2.0-0.9a and i'm having problems burning. I've "./configure & make ", but haven't "make install" yet. Has anyone gotten eroaster to work with ATA or ATAPI yet ? Also i've found this in the doc folder:
Add something like "hdc=ide-scsi" to LILO and do "modprobe ide-scsi" in one of your startup files. Don't forget to map your /dev/cdrom to the proper /dev/srX device. Will this work with grub too ? Since i'm on FC3 :study: |
eroaster will work with atapi, and i think the time for recommending ide-scsi emulation is long gone, and so if you can't get it working, i'd say use a different app, as i think eroaster is pretty much dead now unfortunately. i did get success by just manually inserting the device id, so ATAPI:0,2,0 or whatever. come to think of it, i might have even edited the source code and added ATAPI as a prefix to the cdrecord command. it wasn't that hard to find if i remember right. naturally the automatic detection within eroaster won't work any more though.
