Epiphany, mouse jumping on links

I use Epiphany as my Web browser. I have a mouse with 2 regular buttons and 1 scroll whell that acts as a middle button. Frequently, when I click on a link, the page "jumps" to another location. Essentially, the link's click gets sent to another part of the page, sometimes quite far down the page, or even earlier in a page.

Once I tried clicking on a link a dozen times and could not manage to click on the link. Each time the page jumped and I had to rescroll through the page to find it.

There appears to be no consistancy with how far down or up the page slides. Sometimes it is far down, beyond one spin of my scroll wheel. I have used different versions of the Epiphany browser. I do not have any Epiphany browser extensions or add-ons installed. I have not observed this occurance in any other applications, although I suppose it is reasonable to suspect that my mouse is to blame.

Before I buy another mouse, has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Are you sure you aren't clicking on links to those parts of the page? Do you see an octothorpe character in the url? (#).

Am certain it is not one of those.

I've been having the same problem. At first I thought I was somehow clicking the anchor links without realizing it, but no, Epiphany just jumps sometimes. And sometimes it does weird things with the tabs, too. It's still a better experience than Firefox, though, as far as I'm concerned.
