Enlightenment applications problemns

Hi all, I'm a beginner in the Linux world and I'm trying to use slackware 10 and enlightenment as window manager. I compiled and ran enlightenment 16.6 right now and almost everything went fine. The only problem is that the applications didn't appear. When I left clicked (mouse button) just nothing happens.

I don't know if it is related with this problem, but when I logged out there is the following message on terminal:
"Not found: /usr/share/applications/distccmon-gnome.desktop"

Although, I searched with ls in the mentioned directory and I found the file:

root@tabajara:~# ls /usr/share/applications/distccmon*
/usr/share/applications/distccmon-gnome.desktop@
root@tabajara:~#

Does anybody know what is the problem? Why the applications does not appear/load in my enlightenment?

Cheers,

Hi there,
I middle clicked and went to the maintenance as you suggested. When I chose 'Regenerate Menus' appeared the message: "Menus are being generated...Please wait", but this message box stays there forever and nothing happens (that error remains).
"Not found: /usr/share/applications/distccmon-gnome.desktop"

the message should stay there for a long time depednign on comp speed, my 2.2p4 1gb ram takes about 2 minuts.

do this in a terminal: ls ~/.enlightenment/*.menu

if there is nothing there then your menu files are missing and I could post an example so you can make them.

Here comes my .enlightenment contents. It seems that I really don't have the menu files you mentioned. Can you help me with this?

bash-2.05b$ ls .enlightenment/
backgrounds cached themes user_theme.cfg
bash-2.05b$ ls .enlightenment/*.menu
ls: .enlightenment/*.menu: Arquivo ou diretório não encontrado
bash-2.05b$

Hi,
I already fixed the problem!

A friend of mine sent me his menu files (epplets.menu, gnome.menu, file.menu, gnome_user.menu and user_apps.menu) and I just copied then to my ~/.enlightenment and restarted the enlightenment. Everything seems to be fine now.

Thank you so much for the help!
