Enlightenment and Mandrake 9.1 / Nvidia

Hi all,
So, I finally got most everything (maybe?) working, including a USB mouse which wasn't that straightforward.

Anyways, I'm running Enlightenment w/ Mandrake 9.1 and NVidia drivers. Some of the menus come up with text etc. but many more, when applications are run, don't have any text in the menus.

Am I missing fonts? I'm very new to Linux so I really don't even know how to get started.
Thanks!

Either missing them or have broken font directories.

I had this happen once with OpenOffice, the problem was corrupted fonts.dir and fonts.scale files.

You can use mkfontdir and mkfontdesc for non-ttf fonts and ttmkfdir or mkttfdir for true type font directories.

Oh, and you should only have one type of font in each directory (ie, don't mix bitmapped and true type fonts in the same directory).

Thanks for the information.

I'm really very new to this.
Could you take me step by step through how to repair this? with mkttfdir, etc?
Thanks
