Enhanced RTC, Chrony, Realtime Linux

I specified the enhanced rtc feature in menuconfig during a realtime linux (rtl) kernel build, but don't believe it actually made it into the build. I tried using Chrony, which needs the enhanced rtc when executing a rtc command in chronyc. Chronyc burped that I had no rtc driver. However, if I boot to the non-rtl that was used to produce the rtl, chronyc has no probem. How can I check to see if it's enchanced rtc) there? RHL9. Chrony 1.20.
