Hi
Maybe try qtrans it is a frontend to the babylon dictionaries.
There is a mandrake rpm version 1.1-7 or go and get the
source, home page; http://digilander.libero.it/merlim/
You 'll have to get the babylon dictionaries (not the
glossaries) www.babylon.com or get them at
ftp://ftp.ac-grenoble.fr/ge/languages/babylon_dict/
they seem a bit dated tho. Don't forget the main english.dic

But i still prefer the online dict; mainly german-english ( most
online dutch-english are crap or sluggish)
but english-english as well and when i make a typo, it makes
good propositions. It is fast, find it here; http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/
good luck
