This is a new install of FC3 with the nVidia 6629 drivers. I've managed to work through alot of the issues with the driver and it works now, thanks to a few people that did some hard work.

I've managed to get the sound to work as well. Good old nVidia setting up the sound support with all sound volumes at 0.

I've installed several games: enemy-territory, quake3, ut2003 and ut2004.

Ut2003 and 2004 work well. Great framerates, good quality at high resolution, full screen works fine, good sound output.

Enemy-Territory (which I play the most) and quake III Arena do play. They don't crash. They also won't go into full screen mode, which is very annoying and kills the framerates.

I've gone into the settings on both of these games to ensure that they have full screen selected. I've changed the resolutions within the games to make them consistent with my desktops resolution, but they still won't go into full screen mode.

ET and Q3 both play off the same engine so it seems that this engine may be causing the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try to drop one resolution down. I had the same problem with Wolf3D when I set to a high res.
