I have a virtual mail server setup. There are a dozen domains and the configuration is

Redhat 9.0, Postfix, Maildrop, LDAP, Courier-IMAP, MySQL.

I would like to provide POP3 access to the users but at the same time restrict it to select users only.

Can anyone please offer some suggestions and tips on how to go about it?

The main portions i believe are:

a) Enabling POP3 access for everyone (I believe the xinet.d file requires editing of the enable pop3 line).

b) To restrict the access to some users.

The user details (name and password are stored in the mysql database).
A field can be added here for determing whether user is given access to pop3 or not.
