Emulation question

Hi Guys,

i installed gentoo on my machine. There are tow partitions (wihout swap and boot), one hda1 with a windows running on it and hda4 with gentoo. Normally, I'm booting gentoo. But there is on application i need, and that is borland delphi. I could make it work with wine, okay. But there is a solution that sounds better to me: Emulate hda1 with a vmWare or a thing like this. Is it possible to emulate a physical partition (that can be single booted too!) in an emulator?

regards, mo

Btw: Does anyone know a good wine tutorial?

Yes, VMWARE can boot a real partition. This is called a "raw disk". VMWARE is a little on the expensive side. They used to have a personal/non-commercial use option for VMWARE Workstation (less than $60), but it doesn't look like they offer that anymore.
