Emu10k1 drivers and using an OSS DSP program...

I have a Sound Blaster Audigy Sound Card, which means that I have the emu10k1 drivers installed. Now the sound works perfectly for programs such as XMMS and Xine. By the looks of the way the system sets itself up, it uses the ALSA drivers in conjuction with emu10k1. The problem is, I'm trying to use a program called darkice which listened to an OSS DSP device for any sound. So far I have not found any devices in /dev that produce any sound. Does OSS not run when ALSA is installed any more?
