emerge alsa error during compilation, emu1Ok1

hi, I just installed gentoo linux and I am a complete noob.
Everything went fine, except for installing the sound.

I am getting this when I do this command env ALSA_CARDS='emu10k1' emerge alsa-driver

!!! ERROR: media-sound/alsa-driver-0.9.2 failed
!!! Function src_compile, Line 59, Exitcode 2
!!! Parallel Make Failed

can someone help me with this, I really would like to have sound on my pc so I can continue installing the rest and enjoy my linux box, thanks a lot!

Did you modify your kernel configuration correctly? By default (in gaming sources at least) it seems to select a sound module. I deselect that each time, so there is nothing selected (other than the top option).
I have not had any problems otherwise.

Ok, my guess was right, It was already activated.

I am gonna try to install the creative drivers now to see if that works.
