emelfm2 problem

hello,

im trying to use emelfm2, but ive got a problem with double-clicking any file and have it open immediately in its associated program.

a file, say a .png, will not open immediately in gqview if its got execute permissions, instead it will throw up a window saying 'what would you like to do with *.png?' and a choice of Run,Open,or Cancel. However, if i take away the files execute permissions, it will open immediately in its associated program.

i dont get it. any help appreciated.
