Email server help requested.

So I have this shiny new domain name and a DNS service directing surfers to it's shiny new server (running Ubuntu, 'cause I had to check it out, for now) and while I can do the web work I have no idea what to do with it where email is concerned. It would be nice to set up a mail server so people could check their email. I've never done this and would appreciate any tips or links, etc..

use postfix

That or you can use exim. Mail is usually stored in /var/spool/mail/<username>.

1. Grab whatever mail package you chose
2. Uncompress it, and install it.
3. Do 'telnet localhost 25' to see if it is actually listening
