email adress with a period
anyone know how to make an email adress with a period? like firstname.lastname@domain.com
I'm using exim and debian woody. Normally i just create a new user in debian and it automaticaly makes an email adress, but creating a user with a period like firstname.lastname doesn't work. Don't know if you need any more info, but just ask for it and I'll post it. |
Yea, I don't think it's legal to have unix usernames with a period. What you can do is set up virtual usernames in exim and have it forward the mail to a valid unix account on your machine.
