Hi,
Does emacs on ubuntu breezy use source files by default, not byte compiled files? I added cedet for it's support of the speedbar in Erlang and now emacs takes a noticable time to load. From the messages at startup it looks like it's using the source files (tho' i could be wrong). How can I force emacs to load the byte files to speed it up?
I tried adding the directories containing the byte compiled files to the load-path but that doesn't seem to have any affect.
