Emacs problem with tabs

I can't seem to insert more than one tab in Emacs when in C++ or Java mode. When in normal text editing mode, I can't insert any tabs.

Can anyone help?

in emacs the code formatting is automatic an it's alerted by pressing tab.

You should notice that emacs make your code nicer and more organized because of this feater when coding (C, C++, Java..)

If you wish to disable this feater than disable it from the language menu specific mod.

see emacs docs, I'm sure that it will be very useful for U

You mean "feature". Umm, I can't find anything in the docs about using the tab key. I know it indents automatically for programming, but it won't let me add more tabs (eg. so that I can tab and put comments instead of just using spaces).
