Eggdrop Help!

hey all,

I need some help with eggdrop 1.6.12

i get an error when i try to start eggdrop via commandline. /root/eggdrop/eggdrop thats what i type to start it.
and i get this error:
*ERROR: Eggdrop will not run as root!
How do i run it as eggdrop?

Thanks....

Note: it was a source installation if you need that.

move the zipfile to a normal user's homedir and install it from there. It is dangerous to run IRC as root and the programmer obviously added a little protection to his bot

If it's truly a .zip file:
unzip filename.zip
and that's it.

Cool
