Angry eDonkey 2000 went mad

And I'm going mad too . I've installed eDonkey 2000 yesterday into my RedHat 7.3 with Gui. Everything went that smooth as it should be. Fast and in few minutes I've got some Batman TAS Episodes and mp3s.

Today I've tried to run again edonkey and I get this annoying message over and over and over again. The temp file is always empty and I can never complete a download. It stands, for example:

4.9k from 4.9k done. So, the file should be completed and it's not, and it does not appear into incoming folder either. In the status bar, I get this message:

"Couldn't create Temp File"

and sometimes this one:

ERROR: partial info not saved: /home/myusername/ed2k/donkey0.48.1/donkey0.48.1/temp/5.part.met

I've tried their docs and forums, pretty useless and I'm lost . And afraid that my temp files are going to somewhere randomly too... lol.
Please somebody help me...

thanks in advance
