Hi,

I need to find out how to edit the name of serveral series within a chart in OO 2.0 without adding entirely new rows to pull the names off of.

I've done this in Excel before, but can't seem to get an edit widow in openoffice.

any ideas?

Well, I kind of found a work around... Not to my satisfaction, but it got me through today.

(From memory...)

1. save completed document to another format (I did excel)
2. open that .xls file
3. "Select all" on the chart page you want
4. Paste into a new blank page on your original file
5. Double click the chart
6. Right-click on the white-space of the chart
7. select "Chart Data"
8. enter the information required.

I had issues with the office format holding the information and reproducing the charts after a save and quit. I noticed that if I saved the finished files as an opendoc rather than .xls everything saved as needed.

Hopefully someone knows a better way to do this?
