Editing read only files?


dunno if this belongs in a difference section so I'm taking a guess at adding it here.....

how can I edit read only files?

thx for any help...

Sorry dude, but the only way to edit files is by having write permission to them. If you don't, maybe you're not supposed to modify those files. If you're the sysadmin, then login as a super user and modify the file using "chmod".

In Konqueror, right click on the file and select properties. Click on the permissions tab and change "Can read" to "Can Read & Write"
