eclipse JVM terminated. Exit code=1

when I run eclipse

[21:50:55]:--> ./eclipse
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/eclipse/core/launcher/Main

and open a window on which says:

JVM terminated. Exit code=1
-cp /home/davide/ec/./startup.jar org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main
-os linux
-ws gtk
-arch x86
-showsplash /home/davide/ec/./eclipse -showsplash 600

any idea how to solve?

I'm having the same problems (running SuSE 9.2 with KDE 3.2), but for some reason only when I use a style (in the KDE Control Center) other than the default Keramic .. this is weird.

Okay, I don't think the styles were the problem... now it's crashing regardless of which style Im using. Ideas, anyone?
