I can't seem to find any installation help files for Eclipse. I'm trying to install it on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. Is it as simple as unpacking it and then doing a ./ ? I didn't figure so. Does anyone have any quick walkthroughs?
in the source directory or what? Since plain ./ will do probably just nothing. But don't you have binary package(s) (.rpm packages) for it for RHEL4? They'd be so much more easier to install, unless you specifically need source compilation.
If you download eclipse from eclipse.org, there is no need to compile it. Just extract the contents and run the eclipse executable in the extracted directory.
