Ok, clear. I know that OEL is based on RHEL, but I did not know there is a redhat-release file present on OEL.

Here is also what I get now
[root@localhost ~]# uname -mpi
i686 i686 i386
This seems to be a 32 bit version.

You OS is supported and you should be able to install Oracle E-Business Suite once you install all the required packages.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks.

How about this?
[root@localhost ~]# yum install 'X Display Server'
Loaded plugins: rhnplugin, security
This system is not registered with ULN.
ULN support will be disabled.
Setting up Install Process
No Match for argument: X Display Server
No package X Display Server available.
Nothing to do
[root@localhost ~]# which 'X Display Server'
/usr/bin/which: no X Display Server in (/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/root/bin)

Hi,

I'm not entirely sure, the documentation should mention a specific package (and version).

I've asked this before, but which document are you using (a link please, not a copy/paste from a certain part). All the docs I can find do not mention X Display Server. Some mention openmotif and xsreensaver others mention xorg-x11-libs-compat.

You're welcome.

BTW: Can you put up the [SOLVED] tag if this is resolved.
