easytag says i don't have dependcies but i do!

Any help would be appreciated. I downloaded an RPM for Easy Tag but it will not install because it needs the dependency libid3-3.8.so.3. However, this file is definitely in my system. It is a symbolic link to another file with a similar name, but still, it is there. Any ideas how to get this to work?

thank you, but i tried that, and it gave the same error when i tried to execute the program. i've looked over and over and can't figure out why the program cannot find the stupid file.
