Unhappy easy quint about change 2.6 to 2.4

Hello
I needed to change my kernel from 2.6 to 2.4, Since I need to get my hsf micromodem work, So... I get to YAST and desinstalled 2.6 after making 2.4`s booting fixes and now I rebooted and supposed to being using 2.4
hsfmodemd still tells me to be unable 2 work on my 2.6 kernel what`s up ?

maybe you have to pass an argument for where the correct source code is? maybe your 2.6 source code is at /usr/src/linux, and it needs 2.4 to be there. maybe your not booting what you think you are booting?
