easy mail server?

Can anyone recommend an easy mail server? I don't mind paying for it as long as it's reasonably prices (< $600). I'd prefer running it on Debian, but will use Suse, Red Hat, etc if required. Also, by easy I mean:

a) Easy to Install. Possible to install completely from GUI- no need to install or configure other packages as part of the process (e.g. MySQL, Apache, etc.)

b) Easy to configure. Can easily edit the outgoing mail server, add users, create and delete aliases, set quotas, etc. all without command line knowledge.

c) Easy to upgrade. I'm not a professional IT guy so the server shouldn't break if I upgrade.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I wouldn't suggest using a mail server if you aren't too technically inclined. But, does configuring it have to be GUI based? If not, there are tons free, open source servers available, from Sendmail to exim.

I actually am technically inclined, but I'm so busy that I don't have time to figure this stuff out any more. GUI would be preferred. Currently I use a Windows Mail Server called MDaemon which is wonderful except that I'm vulnerable to about every virus that goes through email (a lot) even with attachment removal and anti-virus software. I'm at the end of my rope..

If I were to consider a non-GUI mail server (not Mail Transport Agent just to be clear now) it would also have to have a web interface of some sort. Am I being too difficult here?

Postfix is likely the best choice IMO. It is a little easier to setup than say Sendmail, and with tools like webmin http://www.webmin.com it can be configured completely with a GUI. As todesengel mentioned above mail servers are never truly "easy" to manage, but if you don't mind a little reading and a bit of google searching you will do fine.

Edit: I missed the "no MTA" mentioned above. If you need more functionality than Postfix can provide Sendmail is your mail server. It too can be set up with webmin, but there is more to to the configuration process.

I would have second thoughts about using something new if you do not have the time to manage it properly. That said, check out this site:

Or this:

and type in whatever you are looking for.
