EASY guide to installing 3D driver?


Anyone know of a really easy way to install the nvidia driver, I tried and it came up something about a checksum being wrong or something??? huh???
I just wanna play tuxracer not write a php script!!!!!

Run YOU (YaST Online Update), this is the easiest way.

Yeah I tried that and it downloads a file to a folder that it says I then have to install, that was when it came up with the checksum error

Very strange! Maybe the file is corrupt. Usually the script installs the driver automatically (not user interference required). Delete the file and try again.

1. Boot --> login as root

2. Open terminal and type init 3

3. sh NVIDIA.....sh -q ,,,,,,,,,(go to your nvidiva driver file)

4. mobprobe nvidia

5. sax2 -m 0=nvidia ,,,,,,,,,,,"ZERO NOT o"

6. Set settings in sax2

7. reboot
