easy firewall like sygate or zonealarm ?
 
is there any easy to use firewall for linux, like zonealarm or sygate ? i like their little popups that say stuff like - "newsbin is trying to access the internet (or whatever)" - "is this ok ?" - "permanently, or for this session only?" .... and yes, im a newb whos trying to break away from the giant.... any help would be appreciated. thankyou

All graphic frontends use the complex iptables. Access is not granted application based, but solely by the rules you define for ports and protocol. The approach is different.

Try FWbuilder, Guarddog or Firestarter. They are quit easy to use.
