Easiest way to update to Gnome 2.16

I currently have 2.14 after a fresh install of Debian Etch and want to know what the easiest way to update to 2.16 is. Id rather not have to download sources manually, using apt is the way I prefer, but it says I am up to date.

The "easiest" way is to wait for the apt archives to update. If you don't want to build from source and really can't wait, the only real option is to leave Debian for something else. Debian takes awhile to get the newest versions... even in their "cutting edge" unstable distro.
