I am having a mental block using e2label to list all disk labels in my system.
I know in the past it could be done but I can not remember the format. Could
some kind soul help me repopulate my brain. I tried
Distribution: Linux From Scratch, Slackware64, Partedmagic

Don't think it can, you may be thinking of lsblk, which can list all sorts of info including labels of either all the disks on the system or just a single disk, see the man page for more details.

blkid is not always installed in all systems whereas lsblk is part of util-linux which is installed on virtually all systems so is a better but less well known option, it can also give more detail than blkid.
