Question e-mailing web pages

I would like to be able to e-mail a web page ,sometimes to anyone, but even though I have configured Thunderbird ,I am still unable to send
said pages to friends.
I keep getting the following error message:
error showing url :failed to execute child process"evolution "(no such file or directory )
Thanks,
kato40

Your question is missing some information. See this.

Exactly what steps are you following to try to send the webpage: including a link, attaching a *.html file that resides on the local computer, highlighting file in a file manager and selecting "send to" in a pop-up menu, or something else?

Evolution is an email program (one I'm not particular fond of, but that's just me). Whatever you are doing, it seems to be causing your system to look for Evolution as a mail client. It may be a file association issue, but we can't be certain without knowing more about your system.

Which mailclient are you using?
You need to set thunderbird as your default mailclient.

Have you considered just copy/pasting the url of the website in to an email?

If you are using GNOME, then set Thunderbird as your default mail client for GNOME. Firefox will use whatever the default GNOME mail client is.

Unhappy e-mail url

Here is the situation at present.
On my Wifes tower ,which is using Mint 7 ,Gnome I am able to e-mail a
web page directly by the "File " menu. But on my own tower ,which has
PClinux OS (Gnome ) ;even though I have enabled Thunderbird to send and recieve ,I cannot e-mail web pages. I shall try to cut and paste the headings to see if that works.
Thanking you,
