Question e-mail and newsreaders

Hi gang,

What are the current frontrunners in terms of fully-featured Usenet threaded newsreaders and email clients for the Linux platform? I normally defer to the Members' Choice Awards for such recommendations, but there don't seem to be any such categories any more...

Thanks,

cc.

Perhaps not the best, but Thunderbird works for me on both counts.

Not RSS, but Usenet.

I am quite happy with Pan for binary newsgroups and the Opera browser for text newsgroups.

Opera also has very nice built-in mail and RSS clients.

I find Thunderbird kind of clunky, but I really like Sylpheed and Claws-Mail. I dislike Kmail because I find Akonadi annoying, and Evolution needs to be put out of its misery.

Just my two cents.
