Question dwb - dynamic web browser: Tips and tricks

Recently I have been trying out dwb, a super lightweight web browser. Like many dwb fans out there, I've read the man pages. I've noticed how there aren't any decent forums or tutorials on how to use it, even if you find a tip or trick somewhere, it's too scanty.

Let's everyone come together and share our 'tips and tricks' on how to use and configure this lightweight web browser.

Unhappy can't save settings page's configurations

I manuevere to dwb's settings page page and then change some configurations, I then enter into normal mode (Esc) and key in ":save"(':' is a command. dwb displays "configuration files saved". I then use the cursor and enter into keys tab then back to settings and I notice how dwb reset the configurations back to the default values. The only way I know to overcome this is the following workaround:
Code:
1) close dwb
2) Permissions: check that ~/.config/dwb/settings is rw for your current id.
3) manually edit values in the ~/.config/dwb/settings
4) save
5) restart dwb

Does anyone know a better solution?

Cool Personalities

Does dwb save to different personalities/sessions, or do you have to launch it with an environment(env)?

Talking dwb's counter to firefox's tab grouping function

Many of you will think a disadvantage of dwb compared with firefox is that dwb cant organize tabs in different groups.

Actually dwb has a lightweight solution to this problem: Save session, open a new session and then come back later and restore that session!

e.g.
1) Save current session:
Press 'escape' key to put browser into normal mode, then enter "gZZ". Enter in the session name f1 to save current session under f1, and dwb shuts down automatically.

2) Start new session:
Enter following command into terminal:
Code:
dwb -n
dwb will start a brand new clean session (one tab only opening in your default webpage)

3) Restart old session:
When you are done, you can close that session, and then type the following into terminal:
Code:
"dwb -r f1"
This will restore the previously saved dwb session. In case you forgot your name you can retrieve it by:
Code:
dwb -l
