DVDStyler with wine
This is my first install of Linux mint. A neighbor fix up a computer for me and installed Linux Mint on it. Was a Windows user for many years and not accustomed to commands (sudo). The neighbor is an actual electrical engineer who worked for the navy and has a degree from Alabama University (I saw his diploma). He advised me to be careful using sudo commands and I now want to be, because he told me I had to learn this things myself and I agree.
On the previous computer I somehow got wine to recognize Styler, but forgot how I did it. I have wine installed, thanks to helps here and now need help doing Styler. The neighbor said check youtube, but be careful and I did it and found one that had a video on how with a sudo command. This is what it said. Is it safe and proper? It sort of scares me to do, with expert comments. Install DVD Styler in Linux Mint / Ubuntu via PPA : Paste the following commands in you terminal : sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/dvdstyler sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install dvdstyler Thanks |
You do not need to install and run dvdstyler with wine.

Just clarifying things a bit. What threw me off was that styler website has linux listed and has source code, which I did not want and then said Ubuntu and then a tar file. Since I did not see a linux installer, got the win version. As said...wish I had read the Ubuntu link. It loaded find and getting ready to use it now. If I screwed up something I'll be back
thanks again |
