DVDs in Xine

HI! I was wondering wether you could help me. I am trying to play DVDs in Xine and it doesnt work. I have already read at least a hundred million websites and they all talk about libdvdcss and xine-dvd.
I downloaded and installed both these files. But when i try to play a DVD Xine says I am missing the dvd:// MRL....whatever that means.
What do i have to do?

can you show the line for your dvd player that is in your fstab ...
that just sounds to me that in your xine properties you have it set
to use /dev/dvd, and maybe you don't have a symlink to it ...
but it could be something else, kinda hard to tell with the exact
error, but thats my guess ...
oh, and if your unsure the file is located at /etc/fstab ..
