DVDRipping Software for Linux 32/64Bit


As i am new to the Linux Platform i am searching for a software that
can help me RipDVD's also CSS Protected DVD's

The Software should be a 32 And 64[if available] Bit.

I have heard there are 64Bit Linux Distros available so i can use
the complete Speed of the AMD 64 Processor.So looking for the 64Bit
software also.

DVD should be ripped to AVI file.

Types
~~~~
Xvid+Mp3
Xvid+Ac3
Divx+Mp3
Divx+Ac3

Please help me out.

If there is a link for this just paste it in your reply that would also be of help.

I don't know about 64 bit but DVDRip works great for ripping dvd's to .avis. It will rip protected dvds with no prob.

is there a program for downsampling dvd's to DVD-R's? Sorta like DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink, but for linux?

Learn the tools that transcoder comes with. You can compile transcoder using 64-bit machine code using -m64 for the compiler flags although it depends on other libraries too. I suggest compiling transcoder and its tools as static. Though it will make transcoder and its utilities bigger in size and take up more memory, but it will give you the full benefit of 64-bit processing.
