dvdbackup troubleshooting

While trying to use dvdbackup, I get hte following error message for every DVD I try to backup.
Code:
$ dvdbackup -M -i /dev/cdrom -o /home/sploit/
libdvdread: Encrypted DVD support unavailable.
dvdbackup: symbol lookup error: dvdbackup: undefined symbol: UDFFindFile
I run Mandrake 10.1 and I urpmi'd libdvdread3, libdvdread3-devel and libdvdread-utils.

Then I compiled dvdbackup.c with:
Code:
$ gcc -o dvdbackup -I/usr/local/include/dvdread -L/usr/local/lib -ldvdread dvdbackup.c
I continue to get this error for all movies, even ones that are already backups. Any helps is greatly appreciated.

You need libdvdcss. All commercial dvds have a weak encryption called css. libdvdcss is the open source library for decrypting css. You can find it on Penguin Liberation Front:

I installed libdvdcss and that took care of the encryption problem, however I still get the following:
Code:
$ dvdbackup -M -i /dev/cdrom -o /home/sploit/
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.8 for DVD access
dvdbackup: symbol lookup error: dvdbackup: undefined symbol: UDFFindFile
