DVD won't play because of Old Hardware !

this is really surprising. what windows can do easily, linus is asking for more, advanced hardware! i have the following system:

Intel pentium 2 400 mhz
RAM 128 MB
AGP nVidia geforce2 MX 400
HDD 40+6.4 GB

well, mplayer or xine cannot play dvd. no matter how i adjust differebnt settings like frame dropping and all that, mplayer cannot play my dvd. while in windows EVERY player is playing dvd like anything. DAMN LINUX, YOU ARE RESOURCE HUNGRY. becasue of this gluttony of linux, everytime i play dvd i have to go to windows :(

LINUX IS NOT YET EVEN READY TO GIVE YOU THE COMFORTABLE COMPUTING, DAMN !
