DVD Shrink Setup

Hey Everyone,
Im running DVD Shrink using wine, but when I go to click on open disk it does not recognize any of the drives. So I have a couple questions.

How do I get DVD Shrink to find the DVD drives?
and where is the wine configuration file?

most of us had this problem from the start. this thread should help

read the whole thing as we work our way through it.

you can find your wine configuration file at /home/user/.wine/config
remove all references to drives in this file, and change the windows type from win98 to winxp

then create a dir /home/user/.wine/dosdevices

inside the dosdevices firectory, create symlinks to your drives.. eg

ln -s /home/user/.wine/fake_windows c:
ln -s /mnt/cdrom d:
ln -s /home/user h:

i hope this has helped
