DVD rips?
I looked for help, and there's a lot of it, but following all that, I still can't manage anything workable.

K3B: works fine, except for error when it says it can't mount <> when I try to open a disc. It will copy, but has no shrink capability, a commercial movie won't go on a single layer disc. What am I missing?

DVD Shrink under wine: Incredibly slow, hours to rip.

Linux dvdshrink: Seems to work, but when played in a commercial DVD player, no titles, no menus, no way to move to a given chapter in the movie.

DVD:Rip Fails because lsdvd doesn't seem to suit it, it won't open to the title and that stops it cold.

K9copy: Says it failed on piping from dvdauthor. Look:
rpm -q dvdauthor

Anybody got any help? Thanks!

i was going to suggest k9copy, but if it cant find dvdauthor, maybe it isn't in your path.

whereis dvdauthor

echo $PATH
is the directory from whereis in the path?

Thanks for the response.
I always do this with "which", and the answer is yes.

[ray@raymondjones ~]$ which dvdauthor

I haven't the slightest idea why it reports that error.
