DVD - Ripper, Encoder, Converter

Hi everybody !
I need some software to do the following things:

- RIP a DVD to HDD
- Convert the Ripped stuff to SVCD - compliant MPEG files
- convert DIVX, XVID *.AVI files to MPEG files.

Does anyone know some good and easy to use Linux software, which can do the above mentioned jobs ?

Thanks !
