DVD::RIP help please
 

DVD::RIP won't recognise the dvd.
when I go to the "RIP TITLE" tab in dvdrip, and hit "Read DVD Table of Contents" it comes back with the message -

Job 'Determine number of titles' failed.

Executed command: dr_exec tcprobee -H 10 -I /dev/hdd & & DVDRIP_SUCCESS

Last output was :


(dvd_reader.c) no support for DVD reading configured - exit.
(iodump.c) unable to open directory "/dev/hdd"


I had already played a portion of the DVD in Mplayer, and Mplayer can see and play the dvd just fine. so I'm guessing that I haveto configure something???

Any Help is greatly appreciated

go to Edit > Edit Preferences. click the check settings button and look through the tabs to see if anything does not show up as ok.

I had same exact error.
I did not have libdvdread installed. After installing it then reconfiguring transcode it worked fine. (You must reconfigure transcode)
