like a dairy cow.....

well use lavc and not divx encoding, but sometimes the crop values will distort it. mencoder automatically adjusts the crop values to suit it's own intervals, but sometimes it is still slightly off....

Are any of the codecs something that will regularly be on a windows machine? Also, any way to get louder audio? :-) *milk milk*

hey acid, nice program been loking around for just this think, i'm running slackware, with blackbox, so when i tryo to compile the GT it gives me the errors cant execute gnome-config adn imlib-config. i tried just stalling those packages from the slackware cd, but no dice there. and so i just tried to install the GTK+ pakage and then compile the acidrip with perl Makefile.PL but it gives me the junk about needing to install the gtk-perl app.. no at a loss, i'm not too framilar with perl or i'd try to figure it out myself. If you can thanks for the help.

Just as a side:
Checking for Gtk.. failed
-------------------------------------------------------
Can't locate Gtk/Types.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i686-linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.0 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i686-linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at (eval 2) line 3.

Gtk is needed, it implements the perl bindings to Gtk+.
The module is called Gtk-Perl on CPAN or module gnome-perl in the Gnome CVS.
In the future acidrip will be able to run from a command line, so this will not be mandatory.
This has not been implemented yet though.
We need at least version 0.7000
-------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
The missing modules can be obtained from CPAN. Visit
<URL:http://www.perl.com/CPAN/> to find a CPAN site near you.

Writing Makefile for AcidRip

Running additional test to be sure acidrip will work
test for lsdvd: found
test for MPlayer: found
test for MEncoder: found
test for MP3 support in mencoder: Not Found!

***************
MEncoder was found, however it does not have MP3 support built into it.
If you DO want MP3 support you'll need to recompile mplayer with mp3 support
See INSTALL or INSTALL.html for more information

PPS: i figured out what the deal was, since i was installing the pakages off of slackware 9 i didnt have some of he old gnome libs that i needed, so i went back and got a few packages from 8.1 installed them and it now works great thanks for the awesome program acid
