DVD-R and K3B

I was wondering if anyone has an answer to this problem I am having with DVD-R media and K3B. I am backing up a DVD to a DVD-R. I use vobcopy to rip the DVD to the harddrive. From there I use DVDShrink that I have running in Wine to make an shrunken ISO file. Then I use K3B to burn the ISO to a blank DVD. No this process has worked flawlessly with DVD+R media, but I recently purchased DVD-R media and now when I burn the ISO to these discs they will not play in my DVD player. I know it has something to do with K3B because I downloaded NeroLINUX and it works fine with the DVD-R media. Can anyone give me a solution? Is there something I have to configure in K3B to make it work with DVD-R?

By the way I am using Mandriva 2006.

If Nero works fine then why not just use Nero to burn the ISO to disk?

When you say "DVD player" are you talking about a player that's attached to your TV (ie, not your DVD burner)? If so, it's highly likely that your DVD player just can't handle the DVD-R format.

That's exactly the situation I've got -- I've got a Panasonic DVD, and it will play DVD+R's just fine, but if I put in a DVD-R (which works fine on my computer), all I get is the "No Disc" error message. The problem is with the player itself only being able to accept one format, not that there's an issue with K3B or anything else.

I am talking about the DVD player attached to my TV. And it does play DVD-R just fine, in fact as I mentioned previosly if I use Nero to burn the ISO it plays fine. It has to be something with K3B that is causing the issue. I sthere something in the configuration of K3B that I am missing. A different write mode or something. Any insight would be very helpful.
