Did you install libdvdcss?

DVD's will not play without it. And it must be installed by the user (it doesn't come as part of any lInux distro).

Here's a great place for fedora/redhat software.

http://dag.wieers.com/home-made/apt/packages.php

libdvdcss

http://dag.wieers.com/packages/libdvdcss/

Make sure you get the right version for the build of fedora you're using.

another real good site for searching is
http://rpm.pbone.net

the advantage to this site is you can search for specific files rather than just rpm packages

an rpm will typically provide a number of libraries and files, sometimes, when trying to install you'll get a error message along the lines of
"cannot install blah.rpm because libblah.so.1 is missing"
at rpm.pbone you can search for libblah.so.1 and it will come back (usually) with a list of the packages that provide it, and the list will also give you which distro to download for as well

top site!
couldn't do without it

Even better than downloading individual packages from such sites like rpm.pbone.net is to use apt or yum package managers so that they automatically resolve dependencies for you. Good Fedora Core 3 repositories can be found at freshrpms, dag and livna. There is also lots of info on those sites or the web on how to use apt and yum.
