DVD Playback problems

I've been able to burn dvd's using vobcopy, dvdshrink under wine and K3B. What i do is i rip the entire dvd to my hard drive and then i shrink them with dvd shrink and then i burn the iso file to dvd-r's with k3b. Now when i play them back on my dvdplayer occasinally there's some skipping or some pixelation. I'm burning/ripping with ultra dma 33 enabled. When i play back here on my computer it works fine.

Some DVD players are picky about playing burned DVDs. Do these errors occur in a pattern? For example does the pixellation or skipping always occur in the same place? Do these errors occur when playing the movies in a different DVD player?

well it starts out fine for the first half hour with either none or minamal pixelation but gets worse. could it be because i'm using a dvd-r and not a dvd+r my dad never has any trouble but he's using windows the way i taught him when i used ot have windows. I think it might be that i use dvd shrink because it plays the movie in the background that might mess it up.
